ICT Day for Year 8
Monday 12th June was a special day in the academic life of year 8. Instead of another “normal” Monday at MCS, Mr Tilbury had organised an ICT day, helped out by his merry band of IT wizards! Every year 8 pupil had time to complete 3 tasks. They got to design a web site, produce a holiday brochure using Microsoft Publisher and create a PowerPoint presentation. Some samples of the great work produced can be seen around the school and in the IT folder of the website.
Great work is always recognised at MCS and so on Wednesday 28th of June, Year 8 had a special assembly when prizes were given out for the ICT day. Each class had two prize winners. Many thanks again to our PTA who provided these prizes; each of the following people won a flash pen.

It took Mr Tilbury and Mr Watkins quite a long time to look over everyone’s work, but they were really pleased with the quality that they saw.
Mrs Seath and Mrs Graham had taken 3 of the 5 groups for the Publisher section. They were so impressed with some of the brochures produced that they awarded special prizes for them.
